Original Story was founded by Heidi Hietala, Ellen Uusi-Autti, and Kimmo Pirhonen with a shared vision to create a high-quality, versatile clothing collection designed to work both in everyday life and for special occasions.

Our garments are crafted with the expertise of an experienced pattern maker, available in an inclusive size range, and made from the finest materials. We emphasize timeless and purposeful design, ensuring that every piece meets a genuine need. 

Longevity and quality are core values for us — we aim to create garments that stand the test of time and retain their value year after year. To support this, we've developed our own garment care product line, which is made in Finland. We believe that with proper care, clothes can stay beautiful for a long time.

You can explore our collection on our online store as well as at the Original Story store in Oulu, located at Torikatu 7. We also have many resellers across Finland. The Original Story Showroom is located in Katajanokka, Helsinki.

The Original Story collection is carefully designed so that each new season seamlessly complements the previous one. Behind the collection is an experienced pattern master who has tailored each of our garments to fit beautifully. Our wide range of sizes, ranging from size 36 to size 50, reflects our commitment to providing an excellent fit for all body types. This is possible thanks to the professionalism and experience of our pattern master.

Our clothing is made from carefully selected and high-quality materials, and most of our products are made in Europe. Our production sites are located in areas with a long history and strong know-how in the production of the product in question, such as the Porto area in Portugal, near Bologna and Florence in Italy, Kaunas in Lithuania and Ostrobothnia in Finland. Our cashmere and alpaca knitwear is made in Inner Mongolia, Northern China, well-known knitwear manufacturing areas.
