Introduction of textiles brushing

Spread the garment on a flat surface while brushing. For example, a sticky pillow works excellently as a base for brushing knitwear. Hold the garment in place with one hand and brush with the other hand along the grain of the material, usually from top to bottom. If the surface of the garment is very shabby, you should brush the product in two different directions. Always switch your support hand to the side where brushing starts. If brushing from top to bottom, support the garment from the top; if from the bottom up, support from the hem.

Bulky knits like cashmere and alpaca in particular benefit from brushing in two directions.

Maintenance brushing

A clothes brush is a handy tool when you need a quick cleaning while the garment is on. Gently pull the hem of the garment lengthwise while brushing so that the brush glides effortlessly over the surface of the garment.

Suit jackets are easy to clean even when hung on a hanger. You can increase the cleaning power of brushing by lightly spraying water on the garment before brushing, which is especially useful for dark clothes.
